VMPNEM
Veterans Memorial Park of Northeast Michigan (VMPNEM) is a Michigan Non-Profit Corporation. The
VMPNEM is dedicated to assuring a Memorial Park that is dignified and first class in structure, appearance,
and purpose and reflective of the respect that our veterans deserve. Every cent raised is directly invested into the Park-
we are a 100% volunter organization.

Sections I
The new park with consist of 3 sections; the first section will be where the Circle of flags is now.
The old pass and ID building is currently being refurbished for use as a vistor's center.
We will add 5 new Monuments to those already there representing all of the wars and conflicts from WW1 to our
current battle on Terrorism.
The existing trees will be under planted with bushes, bulbs and flowers,
handicap accessible trails will be added so it is user friendly to all who wish to visit.
Section II
Section two of the park will be the living memorial section of the park here we invision a large water feature,
park benches Sculptures.
Also in this area fmaily and friends will be able to plant trees in memorial of their someone special who has served
our great nation.
Brass plaques will be added by each tree with the honorees name on it.
Our vision of this area of the park is one of quiet reflection.
At the north end of section we plan on erecting a permanent base for the
Vietnam Memorial "The Moving Wall" so it will have a home on its future visits to the area.
Section III
Section three of the park will be dedicate to our K-9 Corps.; it will be the more relaxed fun area of the park.
All the trails will be dog friendly with park benches and a few picnic tables scattered throughout.
At the center of this section is a Bronze German Shepherd statue recognizing all that our K-9 friends have done for our
Military during their time in service,
this area will also feature another water feature in the shape of a dog's watering bowl.
