Veterans Memorial Park of Northeast Michigan (VMPNEM) is a Michigan Non-Profit Corporation.
The VMPNEM is dedicated to assuring a Memorial Park that is dignified and first class
in structure, appearance, and purpose and reflective of the respect that our veterans deserve.
Every cent raised is directly invested into the Park-we are a 100% volunter organization.

Tributes to Garth Brooks, Toby Keith, Tim McGraw, The Blues Brothers, Conway Twitty, Loretta Lynn, and Bobby Vinton.
These are nationally touring performers donating their time and talent for this worthy cause.
This show is a benefit to raise money for continued development of the Veterans Memorial Park on the site of the former Wurtsmith Air Force Base. Donations will be accepted at the event.

A dream was Born August 14, 2006
What began as dream that was born during the events and overwhelming community involvement associated
with the Vietnam Memorial The Moving Wall when it was on display in Oscoda at the former Wurtsmith Air Base
in June of 2005.
Organizers for the park project held their initial meeting on March 21, 2006. Serveral names for the park were discussed and "Veterans Memorial Park of Northeast Michigan" was choosen to reflect the regional nature of the planned Memorial. Approved to establish this Park at the former Wurtsmith Air Force Base was granted by the Oscoda Township Board on August 14, 2006. This Park will be approximately 6 acres in size and include the area known as Constitution Park or the Circle of Flags. Click on the images to see location the area mark with a red line.
